Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born in the city of Mecca in Arabia around the year 570 CE. He grew up as an orphan after losing his parents at a young age. Despite facing hardships, Muhammad earned a reputation for his honesty, integrity, and kindness.
At the age of 40, while meditating in a cave outside Mecca, Muhammad received the first revelation from Allah through the Angel Gabriel. Over the next 23 years, he continued to receive revelations, which were eventually compiled into the Quran, the holy book of Islam.
Prophet Muhammad began preaching the message of monotheism, calling people to worship Allah alone and to uphold justice, compassion, and morality. Initially, his message faced opposition from the Quraysh, the powerful tribe that ruled Mecca and controlled its religious practices.
Despite facing persecution and hostility, Muhammad's followers grew steadily, and his message began to spread throughout Arabia. In 622 CE, facing increasing hostility from the Quraysh, Muhammad and his followers migrated to the city of Medina, marking the beginning of the Islamic calendar.
In Medina, Prophet Muhammad established a society based on justice, equality, and mutual cooperation. He served as a religious, political, and social leader, resolving disputes, implementing laws, and guiding the community.
Over the next decade, Muhammad's influence continued to grow, and he successfully united the various tribes of Arabia under the banner of Islam. In 630 CE, he returned to Mecca with a large following of supporters and peacefully conquered the city, cleansing the Kaaba of idols and restoring it as a place of monotheistic worship.
Prophet Muhammad spent the remaining years of his life spreading the message of Islam and consolidating the Muslim community. He emphasised the importance of piety, humility, and compassion, and he set a powerful example through his words and actions.
Prophet Muhammad passed away in 632 CE, leaving behind a legacy of faith, guidance, and inspiration. His teachings continue to serve as a source of guidance and inspiration for millions of Muslims around the world, and he is revered as the final prophet sent by Allah to humanity.
