Prophet Eesa

The story of Prophet Eesa (Jesus) is extensively mentioned in the Quran, particularly in Surah Al-Imran (Chapter 3) and Surah Maryam (Chapter 19).

Prophet Eesa was born miraculously to the Virgin Maryam (Mary), who was known for her piety and devotion to Allah. Before his birth, Maryam had withdrawn to a secluded place and was visited by the angel Jibril (Gabriel), who informed her that she would give birth to a special child who would be blessed and righteous.

Prophet Eesa was born without a father, as a sign of Allah's power and mercy. He grew up to become a prophet and messenger of Allah, and his miraculous birth was a testament to his prophethood.

Throughout his life, Prophet Eesa performed many miracles with the permission of Allah. He healed the sick, cured the blind, and even raised the dead back to life. These miracles were a manifestation of Allah's power and a confirmation of Prophet Eesa's status as a messenger of Allah.

Prophet Eesa also preached a message of monotheism and called people to worship Allah alone. He emphasised the importance of compassion, mercy, and forgiveness, and he urged his followers to live righteous and ethical lives.

However, some people rejected Prophet Eesa's message and plotted against him. They conspired to have him arrested and crucified, but Allah saved Prophet Eesa from their plots.

Before his enemies could capture him, Prophet Eesa was lifted up to the heavens by Allah, and a likeness of him was placed on the cross. His enemies mistook the likeness for Prophet Eesa himself and believed that they had succeeded in their plot.

In the Quran, Allah assures that Prophet Eesa was not crucified nor killed, but instead, he was raised to the heavens alive. He will return to earth before the Day of Judgment as a sign of Allah's power and mercy.

The story of Prophet Eesa in the Quran serves as a reminder of Allah's ability to perform miracles and the importance of believing in and following the guidance of His messengers. It emphasises the truth of monotheism and the ultimate victory of righteousness over falsehood.
