Prophet Idris

The story of Prophet Idris (or Enoch in some traditions) in Islam is mentioned briefly in the Quran, and additional details are found in Hadith (sayings of the Prophet Muhammad) and other Islamic literature. Here's a simplified version:

Prophet Idris was a righteous and wise man chosen by Allah to guide his people. He lived in ancient times, after Prophet Adam and before Prophet Noah.

Idris was known for his devotion to Allah, his wisdom, and his ability to guide people on the right path. He preached the message of monotheism, calling people to worship only one God and to lead righteous lives.

According to Islamic tradition, Idris was the first human being to invent writing and to use it for recording knowledge and wisdom. He taught his people various skills and sciences, including agriculture, astronomy, and mathematics.

Despite his efforts, some people rejected his message and continued to live in ignorance and disobedience. However, Idris remained patient and continued to guide those who were willing to listen.

In the Quran, it's mentioned that Idris was elevated to a high status by Allah:

"And mention in the Book, Idris. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet. And We raised him to a high station."
The Quran
| Chapter 19, Verses 56 - 57

Prophet Idris's story teaches believers the importance of righteousness, patience, and perseverance in spreading the message of monotheism. He is revered as a symbol of wisdom and guidance in Islamic tradition.
