Prophet Shu'ayb
Prophet Shu'ayb was sent by Allah to the people of Madyan (Midian) to guide them towards righteousness and warn them against their sinful ways.
The people of Madyan were involved in dishonesty and corrupt practices in their businesses, and they oppressed the poor and needy. Prophet Shu'ayb urged them to abandon their unjust ways and worship only Allah, the One true God.
Despite his sincere efforts to guide them, the people of Madyan refused to listen to Prophet Shu'ayb's message. They mocked him and rejected his teachings, refusing to change their ways.
In response, Allah sent a punishment upon the people of Madyan. They were afflicted with a severe earthquake that destroyed their homes and crops. Those who had opposed Prophet Shu'ayb were destroyed, while those who had believed and followed his guidance were saved.
Prophet Shu'ayb's story serves as a reminder of the importance of honesty, justice, and compassion in society. It teaches us the consequences of arrogance and disobedience to Allah's commandments, and the importance of heeding the warnings of His prophets.
