Prophet Saleh
Prophet Saleh was sent by Allah to guide the people of Thamud, an ancient civilisation known for their skill in carving homes out of rocks and mountains. They lived in a prosperous valley but turned away from the worship of Allah, instead worshiping idols.
Saleh, a righteous and patient prophet, was sent to warn the people of Thamud about their sins and to call them back to the worship of the one true God. He urged them to abandon their idolatry and to follow the path of righteousness.
Despite Saleh's sincere efforts to guide them, the people of Thamud rejected his message and continued in their disbelief. They challenged Saleh to prove his prophethood by performing miracles, so Saleh asked Allah for a sign.
In response, Allah sent a miraculous she-camel as a sign of His power and mercy. This camel was unique, as it emerged from a rock and produced abundant milk for the people. Saleh instructed the people to treat the camel with respect and to share its water fairly.
However, the people of Thamud grew jealous of the camel and plotted to kill it. Saleh warned them against harming the camel and reminded them of the consequences of their actions.
Despite Saleh's warnings, the people of Thamud killed the camel, defying the command of Allah. As a result, they were punished by a mighty earthquake that destroyed their civilisation, leaving behind only ruins as a reminder of their fate.
Saleh and the believers who followed him were spared from the destruction, and they were grateful to Allah for His mercy and protection.
The story of Prophet Saleh serves as a reminder of the consequences of disobedience, disbelief, and arrogance. It teaches believers the importance of heeding divine guidance and following the path of righteousness.
